Where is Dr. Gómez Arias now?

Since completing his fellowship at Mount Sinai, Dr. Gómez Arias has been working at Reina Sofia University Hospital, where he completed his residency. Dr. Gómez Arias leads a clinic specializing in treating inflammatory skin conditions, particularly alopecia areata and atopic dermatitis. Additionally, Dr. Gómez Arias presented at several national and international conferences on how the microbiome is associated with alopecia areata severity. By the end of 2024, he will complete his PhD thesis on this topic. Dr. Gómez Arias credits the IEC fellowship as being instrumental in fostering his professional growth as a clinician-researcher.
